Q. How does THEMISEAL work?
A. THEMISEAL stops
bleeding when it comes in contact with blood. It
forms adduct when it comes in contact with blood
protein, and this
adduct seals the bleeding points.

formation of semi - transparent film, which protect the wound
from entry of foreign micro-organisms.

which accelerates the process of wound healing.
Q. Why would I use THEMISEAL?
A. THEMISEAL is an essential part of first aid kit.
THEMISEAL can assist in
stops bleeding in number of surface
injuries like cuts, abrasions,
scratches, wounds etc. In most
of the cases THEMISEAL accelerates
the wound healing process,
as it maintains the moist environment within
the wound.
Q. What kind of wounds can
THEMISEAL be used on?

Q. Are there
wounds for which I should not use THEMISEAL?
A. THEMISEAL is not intended for control of pressure
bleeding and
therefore it will not be effective if used on
deep wounds such as
bleeding from arteries. In the case of

Q. Do I still
need a plaster?
A.
The use of a bandage is optional depending on the severity of
the
wound and location of wound. Bandages mainly protect
wounds against
infection and further worsening of wound, but
THEMISEAL forms a
protective semi – transparent layer
on wound, which minimizes the risk
of entry of foreign
microbes. Most of the bandages do not stop bleeding
unless
they specifically contain an agent that aids coagulation,
which is
the THEMISEAL’S advantage.
Q. Do I still need to clean and
disinfect the wound?
A.
Yes, all wounds should be cleansed with purified water, normal
saline or
antiseptic agent to prevent infection. It is always
advisable to clean the
wound before applying THEMISEAL.
Q. Can I re-apply THEMISEAL if
the wound does not stop bleeding?
A. Repplying of
THEMISEAL is not necessary in most cases,
but it is safe
to do so if the wound keeps oozing through the
first application. It does
not enter into systemic
circulation, so there is minimal risk of toxicity. In
case of
prolonged bleeding, please seek medical advice.
Q. Can I use
THEMISEAL on my face?
A. THEMISEAL gel should be applied directly on the face
with precaution
the it does not enter inside eyes. Be sure to
avoid the eyes while
applying THEMISEAL gel.
Q. What should
I do if I get THEMISEAL in my eyes?
A. You should rinse your eyes with plenty of purified water.

stinging or redness.
Q. Can
THEMISEAL be used to stop bleeding in my mouth?
A. Yes,
THEMISEAL gel can be used to stop bleeding inside
mouth.
Q. Why not to use just talcum
powder to stop bleeing?
A. THEMISEAL is specifically designed to stop bleeding and
does so
effectively and rapidly. Talcum power can assist the
control of bleeding.
However, it is an inorganic material
foreign to the body and would have
to be removed from the
wound sice it may cause irritation at the site of
application.
THEMISEAL can be safely left on the wound as it is
biocompatible and biodegradable.
Q. If I am on blood thinning
medication, can I still use THEMISEAL
products?
A. Yes. The active ingredient of
THEMISEAL family of
products is a
clinically proven agent that forms a semi –
transparent film over the
bleeding site and stops bleeding. It
is having a very high molecular
weight, so it does not enter
inside systemic circulation. It will not
interfere in any way
with medication used for blood thinning.
